Resistance

Resistance The Resistance is the organization formerly known as CORE. The exact time frame for how long CORE has been in existence is largely speculated, but people assume that for as long as Camelot has been around, so has its opposer. Also operating under complete secrecy in its earliest days, CORE did not always stay completely under the radar as Camelot did. Also far from the Agency's neutrality, CORE had values that greatly different from both the Agency and Camelot, values that inevitably sparked a war with Camelot that lasted for centuries. Where Camelot was interested in the advancement of the reincarnate community within the non-reincarnate world, CORE was more interested in the advancement of the reincarnate community that would lead to things including but not limited to reincarnates running the world at large. A war between Camelot and CORE raged, casualties built up heavily on both sides, until the war finally ended for both organizations on April 2nd, 2010. Camelot invaded CORE's HQ following the murder of their leader Michael Morgan, killed by the hands of CORE's leader Anna Harkness. After hours of fighting, CORE was taken down and any members that survived were put in prison. On June 11th 2010, sometime during the night there was a disturbance at one of the secure reincarnate detention facilities in Southern California. With the outside help of an ex-CORE member and shady lawyer Peter Reed, and Josia Hughes, a member of CORE who Peter had managed to argue his way out of prison, an elaborate jail break was planned. Josia Hughes employed the help of a few other ex-CORE members who had managed to stay out of prison when CORE fell and what happened inside the prison no one who wasn't there could tell you. The end result was a number of dead guards, a dozen more injured, and the escape of nearly every CORE prisoner that was being held there. Those that escaped are currently on the run and looking for revenge. They call themselves the Resistance.
